Fieseler Fi-156c Storch over Dresden.

This amazing little plane served in any environment the German army went to in WW2, it wasn't fast, but it was perfect for recon and medical services. It apparently had an average front line service 10 times longer than the BF-109 and was equally at home in either the North African desert or the frozen Russian stepps.

With a good all round view..it was an excellent recon aircraft..

Look at that speed..I got it down to 39 knots before it began to stall.  :D

which meant it could land almost anywhere..

Ready to touchdown.....

...and this was my stopping distance. maybe 200 feet or so.  8-)

A number ended up as personal hacks for senior allied officers because they were such good planes 8-)

If you turn it into a strong wind, you can actually get the Fi-156 to hover.

The scenery is almost completely default, apart from this..  http://www.fs2000.org/last/news.asp?id=11251

The aircraft is  FI156_FS.ZIP   from f*****sim   ;)

You can get a VC panel for it here...  http://www.fs2000.org/last/news.asp?id=11246
but there's the problem...it requires  Karl Bauers 1928GAU.ZIP  to get the guages to show on the VC panel and for the life of me, I can't seem to find them anywhere on the net. Although why the hell anyone would release a panel and not include all relevant gauges is beyond me.  :-?  ( you'll notice that on the approach shot I took, I cunningly missed out my gaugeless panel. ) ;)

Which I already did, and promptly got 7 planes that all "  Requires 1928-38 gauges (1928GAU.ZIP) "

Type the file name (or copy/paste it from my reply) in the 'File name' search box. I found it straight away.

Bastardised versions of german aircraft are for the crapper.

To hell with all the Ms.505s, Buchons, Avia 199s!

Boca, try narrowing down your search to the "FS2004 Panels" section and put the file name in the filename box when you search.
