This one was just a limited time download from Aeroplane Heaven. I'm very suprised it hasn't been showcased laetly because there was even a countdown by the members for it to be up for download. I'm sorry to say it can't be downloaded now but it's still a lovely plane. The Spitfire Prototype!!

Yep. It's the Spitfire prototype. I've got the full package. about 25 different variants and liveries.  Only had 2 blades on the prop, but could still manage  349 mph (562 kph) back in 1936, barely a few years after we'd stopped using bi-planes.

Great series cloud9, thanks for posting them.

As soon as I saw the idea you had in the first set I thought of Milton's Spartan - & you didn't dissapoint me :) I remember all the anxiety caused waiting for this baby to come out, I think on it's first day of release, nearly every thread on the first page of 'Freeware' had a Spartan in it. A great plane with a stunning VC, one of the few I still have installed in FS9, I really should fly it more often :)

The Spit was the same aswell, I still have that tucked away somewhere - due for dusting off again me-thinks.

Thanks for posting all three aircraft,

TSC.

THanks all and TSC, that's exactly why I started this series. TO get people to dust off some of these classics. Glad to see I won't be disappointed ;)
