Mexico City to Los Angeles...the LONG way.
Basicaly...I needed to get to LAX where I will hop the last flight to my warm place. But wouldnt be around to keep an eye out on a 4 hour direct flight. So, next best option...go way out of the way but get there in 2 days. Ended up taking long hauls to Frankfurt then finally LAX on Lufthansa. This way I could start the flight and monitor till cruise level, set the auto pilot, then go to bed and finish the last hour of the flight in the morning. Worked perfectly other then a couple more, not so great, landings
Favorite shot i've taken in awhile. Waking up to a nice sunrise while still over the Atlantic.

Had to slip a wingshot in...decending into a cold Frankfurt afternoon. Not quite what I had in mind...kind of made a backwards step on the quest for warmth.

Next morning it was off to LAX.

Turning around on a slow climb out.

Cruising at FL380 Somewhere over the northern US.

Only one flight left and I will find that long lost warmth. Not telling where it is though...will be the weekend before I make it
Can tell you its about an 11 hour redeye flight. Should arrive at my destination around 5:15 AM local time if on schedule.
