Hi all,

she isn't a beauty. But she was the first commercial plane built in Germany after the war. Seen here in Luftwaffe VIP transport colors. In the end only 3 airlines and the Luftwaffe operated the VFW-614. The Luftwaffe aircraft being disposed of in 1999.

At DASA (today: EADS) a new electronic flight control system was installed in one frame (G15) which was flight tested until the year 2000. She was supposed to act as an experimental aircraft for the A380 program.

Naaah. I find her a lot more pleasant of a lot of modern liners. Now take the Beluga or the special transport Boeing made out of two 744 last years (can't remember their names), those ARE ugly alright. Not the VFW-614.

The angles on those last two are really great...they look like you're sitting in the restaurant .  Strange place for a restaurant, though...it looks like the plane is going through a drive-through .

P.S: I want a HFB 320 (Hansajet) for FS.
