In FSX, you can reach an altitude of aout 18,000 miles. Good for shuttle flights.

1. You went into the map and set you altitude to 99999999

2. You hit Ctrl+E and the prop spun for a few seconds under power of the starter motor

Wow that is high !  The earth sure looks better in FSX...can't wait till I get it 8-).

I did this in a long e-z for fs9 once when i had an fuel depletion. i was able to fly for about a 1/4 mile under starter motor power.
