Still got an AMD64 3400, 2gb ram but my x1950 pro 512mb boots it to around 25fps set on high, ultra high round 20fps.

You know what... I am running the 3500... as well as a few other folks.... these processers seem to be running pretty respectable FPS numbers as well as allowing for the details...  we may be on to a cheaper alturnative for those that cant afford to move up to the duo core systems....

I sorta laugh now... I didnt want this HP system....but for $400 and me not being able to afford better at the time....  I'm doing pretty good right now

Is it just me or the rain does not impact visibly the water? :-?

I mean, with all the overblown and unrealistic effect of rain on taxiways, they forget to apply the same on the water, where it would have been looked REALLY convincing? ::)

...another step away...

The hughe amount of extending planar sprites required to give it the effect that you desire would cause a even bigger framerate hit. But yes, it can be done.

Having to choose if to lose frames on an effect done badly on the tarmac or a good effect done on water, I know what I would choose, but perhaps the setup doesn't allow one without the other? :-?

Anyway, not that's really important to me seen that unless there's a way to bring with me my 732 Tinmouse and my 744 iFly I'm not going over to X. And seen what the authors say... welcome FS11... maybe.
