Is it permitted?

I have a flash (swf) file with some of my screenshots in it on a non-commercial website. Is it permitted to post the link here?

Yup, posting a link to it is not a problem, although embedding the flash is kind of taboo (similar to linked images or images over 100kb).

Nice shot btw. ;)

Bandwidth obviously ... creates extra traffic.

I never understood that, if i would host it on my own webspace then it wouldnt generate any extra bandwidth for SimV.

Well, did anyone check it out. I would like some comments on the flash presentation and the screens. The presentation is about 2.6 megs. I didn't use a preloader because it is the only thing on the page and that would just add more to the size.

Maybe but that is what makes this site what it is!
That is the reason we have rules for images posted here at SimV!
If you come to this site and want to look at images or click on thinks, we don't want our users being directed elsewhere where they might encounter multiple problems/virus/ etc....

I can understand that, but i have never ever seen someone link images in such a way, and i lunger around a few forums in wich the use of images is pretty extensive.

Were there bad experiences with this in the past?
