Took the lovely O-1 Bird Dog up to Fairbanks, Alaska today for some fun bush flying. The time of year made for some excellent lighting. These shots were taken around 1300 local, but the sun is already setting in the south west.


This little strip overlooks a lake. Just had to get a shot of the sky, lake, and airplane together.



Skimming over icy cold waters.



The sun slides a little lower down the fiery sky.



I don't know why, I just liked this one.



Landing back at the little airstrip. Just look at the barn doors on this thing.



FSX went all haywire on me about 30 seconds before the computer gave out. Snapped some screens of the interesting crash.

Very nice shots, always love that color of a sunset.  And nice last pic, I'm surprised that it let you take a picture of it even as it was freaking out  ;)

I think the last screenshot is the result of consuming too much alcohol...
