Beening a young, reckless and 100% virtual pilot, I decided to check out the London Heathrow situation first hand...

Real world weather seems to be spot on... poor passengers... they're not going anywhere for a while...
Cheers,
Omag

I know what you mean me and my dad were coming in to Heathrow (as it wasn't as busy) in a Cessna 172 and I almsot wet myself from the weather and we asked ATC for the weather so we diverted to Bristol and it was still the same then I redid it on FS9 and I almsot did it again. So in the end we diverted to Manchester and took a 3 hour drive home and our Cessna is still in Manchester.

I didn't know Cessna 172's were allowed at Heathrow! I thought they reserved that airport for the "big" boys...

On a Katana? Suuuure. It's standard optional.

PS
At least it looks like a Katana to me.

PPS
I had worse visibility at LIPE and Manila. WAY worse.

I'm somewhat surprised you were allowed to file a flight plane to Heathrow in a 172. Even at full throttle you wouldn't have been able to maintain separation. Heathrow has landings and take offs every 70' seconds on both rwys. ATC would never have been able to fit you in except after 23:30 Glad your dad thought he could afford the landing fee!!!!!!!!

The tomahawk on the tail might tell you otherwise

I flew from Edinburgh to Bristol yesterday and out plane was delayed by 2 hours cos of this blessed fog

Nice pic nonetheless

Must ask Omag, which runway textures are you using?

I think they came with airport environment upgrade, a package that changes the textures on airports. I believe number 7 is the latest version... You know where to look... ;)
