A couple random screens from flying last night in FSX...

Climbing out of Friday Harbor, I love the look of the sheet metal skins on the FSX aircraft...

Lovely shots, Mike. This has probably been asked before, but what are your specs and how's she run? I can get about a steady 4fps with my setup. :P

Thanks James, I run an AMD Athlon 64 3400+, 2 GB OCZ RAM, and a 256MB 6800GT.  As for settings, I'm at a medium radius, with terrain complexity at 100, mesh to 10m, texture resolution at 1m, scenery complexity to very dense, autogen density to dense, no scenery shadows, no land detail textures, special effects to medium, weather and aircraft settings all the way up, no other traffic (:P), and no light bloom.  I have water set to low 1.x, which really seems to help me with the frames, but it doesn't look as nice as the high water, but it still looks better than my FS9 water.  I also have the AA and filtering set to the lowest in the sim, and the second highest level on my video card.  With all that, I can get a constant 21 FPS in most areas, except for big cities, where it drops to 11 FPS or so.  I just switched my locked frames from 35 FPS, to 21 FPS, and it actually seemed to help, and I didn't notice much difference, so I would give that a try. ;)
