Hello all: Yesterday, climbing from Tolmachevo, I noticed ice formation on my Tu-126 cockpit.  :o I never see it before



The ice dont stopped and expanded is size on the climb, and the only way to avoid him was descending the plane.


Anyone knows if the Tupolev Tu-126 has some type of "heater" to avoid the ice? How works? Thanks.

Yes, you have to toggle the cockpit heat and deice...the Tu-144 had the same thing.  ;)

If I'm not mistaken, its the switch next to the map icon to the right hand side of the panel, halfway up (underneath the red arrow). If not, you could try the de-icing switches on the flight engineers panel.

No big surprise there...I've seen numerous Payware add-ons that have the same effect...The icing accumulates over time and with the flick of a few buttons, you can remove it...It's a cool effect isn't it?

Yes. Very thank you for all your useful replies mates. I hope make more flight tests. Never experienced this before. This is the Tupolev Tu-126 AEW (russian awacs) Alrot. The panel comes with the plane. You need before install the Tupolev Tu-114 airliner. This Tu-126 has in flight refuelling capability also, the package comes with an autoinstaller and a Myashishev 3M tanker for refuel. The tanker is AI and the refuelling is a very demanding mission, but a lot of fun.

I believe it's a XML gauge, more out of my ordinary.
