Those shots are really impressive, they give a good feeling of... action... great !
Is that CFS3 or IL-2 ? (I haven't play IL-2 since a long time). In case it is CFS3, are the Me262 reactors as fragil as in IL-2 ?

Thanks

It's cFS3

I've only flown IL-2 once than I uninstalled it because I really didn't like the ground textures.

In CFS3 the 262 can be really tricky but I don't know if it's the same as IL-2 that would be better answered by one of the iL-2 people.

A lot of bullets on the first shot...how much B-17 have you shoot down?

I think the IL-2 version is the most fragile. If you're not careful with how much throttle your put in, one of the engines could potantially burst into flames.

Actually the real ME262 was prone to flameouts to one or even both engines if the throttle was not used carefully (read it somewhere on the net), so I think the IL-2 version (though with some license) had it quite right.

Thanks for the info Ashaman, I think I read something like that too.
However, the only problem with IL-2 is that there is a bug in the flight model of the 262: when you switch the engines OFF, they act as a powerfull speedbrake, and it is almost impossible to glide once you have no more engines.

I mean, the airplane really slows down in an exagerated way, you have to dive almost vertical to maintain a decent landing speed, and you'll be very lucky if you can make the ressource without stalling.

Not to mention the impossibility to start the engine in the 262 campain... that bug was not corrected with the patch I tried at that time, I wonder if they issued any patch later on to solve that...

never tried the campaign, but in IL-2 she's really sensitive on the throttle, let her run out too 190 before pulling up, raise the flaps, then slowly pull here up at 300 and 85% throttle. never go too 100%.

She handles best as a Boom and Zoom fighter, otherwise it will burn too much energy.

You can go to 100%, as long as you do it gently, and at appropriate speed, and anyway you'll quickly run into an engine overheat !
I usually do exactely what you said, 100% for gaining speed, then reduce to 85% for boom and zoom manoeuvers. With the IL-2 sniper-bombers, you have no other choice anyway ;)
