Latest preview....

Hi all,

here are the latest preview pics of my Dreamliner paint project. A lot has changed. All in all I've been painting that bird for ~20 hours. Compared to my earlierer pics I did a lot of painting at the nose and the tailsection. I tried to make the paint look more like the actual boeing animation. (http://www.ab-pr.com/upload/Boeing/787%20body.jpg)

Thanks to cspyro21 and mipa2, who gave me both tips, where to find the needed photos.

Please leave a comment, what you think so far and what could be improved.... :)

Cheers,
Fabian

Nice job. I still have a lot to learn before I can do something like that.

Great Painting Fabian!

Very good job!  In my opinion the cockpit windows look a little to flat (nicht so plastisch).
But i think this is more a model problem than a painting problem.

Greetings

Michael

I'm not so keen on the 'dreamliner' colours but this paint looks REALLY good! I agree with mipa, the model's cockpit is the weakest link, and yes, probably not your problem.

Good morning,

thanks for your comments. I'm quite satisfied with the paint now. I want to correct a few little things, but I guess those aren't visible on the pics. I'm also not so keen in the Dreamliner but I wanted that paint! And it didn't exist earlier for Camil's 787 so I did it myself. I guess I'll finish that paint somtimes between now and christmas.

That flat cockpit is indeed the weakest part of the model, but it's still the best Dreamliner model out there (freeware & payware) and those engines look really c8-)l.

BTW: I'm using GIMP [FREEWARE] for my edits. Best image editing tool in my opinion, if you are used to it ;D.

Cheers, and have a nice day,

Fabian

you ought to try Rob Versluys model (available here on the v). I have done about 30 paints for that model - its what got me started painting and now I have my own website!
