What do you do...

Postby Omag 2.0 » Sat Dec 09, 2006 3:23 pm

... when your caught up by some nasty weather, while crossing the barren highlands of Scotland?

Image

For one, remain cool... ban the thoughts of crashing and burning out of your head, together with the idea of ending up deep-frozen if one would survive such a crash... keep your dignity!

Image

Leave the fearful screams to the guys of ATC, when you announce your small problem...

Image

Struggle your way towards the airport and smile mysteriously as you reach the outskirts of the city...

Image

Ignore the nervous controller, as he tries to explain you about the current IFR-status of the airport... announce you'r flying on fumes and ask him if he'd like you to "park" this plane in the city-center...

Image

Don't await his answer, he's probably to nervous to think anyhow, and make your apprach, beating fierce sidewinds...

Image

Land your plane, and calmly ask for a hot cup of coco...  ;D

Cheers,

Omag

That's not bad. Try navigating the Alaskan mountains in worse weather, without GPS, or navigational radios trying to find a small dirt strip in the middle of nowhere, hidden in the mountains ;D
