Good Luck Allegiant Air!!!
Announced a couple days ago...As of February 16th Allegiant Air will begin the first nonstop service between Fort Wayne, IN (FWA) and Orlando, FL (SFB). Only for Mondays and Fridays. Will also be the largest passenger aircraft to operate from FWA. Currently its CRJ's and ERJ's
They will use their MD-80's. My only question is if FWA can handle a larger number of passengers. Small terminal is nice for the smaller 50 seaters but a 130+ seater if full will be a little bit of a crowd. With a 2:20PM departure time they could find it a little busy. But its great to see a new airline and new aircraft. About time we see something bigger for passengers. If this route goes well theres also a slight chance we could see a Fort Wayne to Las Vegas route. Hoping this will finaly help push the planned expansion that was SUPPOSED to be done this year but never started

Now the trick will be if I can get off work early enough on February 16th to run over to FWA and catch the first flight departing ;)
