hey guys

well ALPHA finnaly released their Canuck model as freeware, so i took these quick shots today...available here at home...get the "FS2004 CF-100 RCAF" a real treat .

the textures i used are by David King ( www.the-airfield.com) and were released about a year or so ago-i really cant remember-ive had them for a while waiting for Alpha to release the canuck it is a package containing about 6 or 7 re-worked textures that IMO look WAY better than the ALPHA ones

i added the jet flames, i used the ones from my Gloster Pioneer (along with the xml) and fixed the smoke  effects possition relative to the aircraft.

I don't think Newark has one (They have a tip-tanked T-33 though), but there is one at the IWM at Duxford.

I can not rember If it was Newark or not Ive looked thourgh my photos and cant find it could of been some were esle...no it wasnt newark I could of been duxford or Hendon?

there is a Canuck in Hamilton Ontario near the Canadian Warplane Herritage Museum, she's on a pedestal and a little forgotten...

you're right, and contrary to what you might think-due to th'sleek' design:P-she broke speed and endurance records in her day...she also participated actively in the Avro Arrow program as testbed,pilot training platform and chase plane.

She was brought over to Duxford by the legendary RCAF pilot Ormond Haydon Baillie in the 70s. I think he had dreams of operating her one day alongside...

...the very T-bird you speak of! Unfortunately he was killed in a Mustang crash in 1977...

Interesting, ive always wondered how the Tbird got to the UK and if it was a Real Canadian T-Bird to begin with

i googled Mr.Baillie but not much info came up, just some pictures and stuff about when he died, why was he so legendary?
