What a peculiar plane. Rotation and flare had to be a -expletive deleted- with that prop configuration.

Plus, I wouldn't like to have to launch with a parachute from that plane (unless there's a ejecting system like in the modern planes) seen the little nice surprise waiting in the back and
spinning.

Not to add that even with that underbelly air scoop the rear engine sure had to run quite hot, even more so on taxy (a simple but unorthodox solution to this would be start the front engine and taxy, when ready start the rear engine and take off).

What I can see of this bird is quite nice. Tomorrow I'll DL it so to see how it flies. Thanks for the input.

She looks great!

The whole package is 120 MB but you can also download it in parts.

Is that lightning through the clouds in shot 4? Looks great. I like that shot.
That is a great set Krigl. I can see why this bird was once payware. Awesome detail there.

I like that bird also. I always loved the radical designs of those WW2 German planes. The main reason why I don't use it often was that the model was a heavy load on my system due to its high level of detail.

shot 2 and 4 are amazing! you should have used number 2 in the competition!!!
Though i would say the details on the lower side of the wing in the last shot stand out too much, the quality is excellent but i think the contrast could be tuned down a little, just my worthless opinion anywayz, great a/c

Veeeeery long gear legs help in this case
Plus, I wouldn't like to have to launch with a parachute from that plane (unless there's a ejecting system like in the modern planes) seen the little nice surprise waiting in the back and
spinning.

Tail was blown off as well as the rear prop when ejecting.
Not to add that even with that underbelly air scoop the rear engine sure had to run quite hot, even more so on taxy (a simple but unorthodox solution to this would be start the front engine and taxy, when ready start the rear engine and take off).

They probably did that, but dont forget that this thing has watercooled engines
Max attained speed: Mach 0.9 in a dive...

There is just a new version to come, the designer, Tom Wood, will post it very soon !Here is a quote from sim-outhouse.com
Hello,
The Fs 9 Do 335 I have been working on for some time now is done. The up grade went very well. I appologize for the long wait but I have a new wife and a new baby to tend to so my time is streched thin at this time.
I'm am heading out of town for Tokyo to see a preview and out line of a new game My team is suppose to work on so I will up load it(Do 335) when I get back in town.
I have a 2 seater D0 335 almost ready for the new Fs soon to arrive as well, this revamp should work well in Fs10 or what ever they call it, it will get what ever small fixes at the time the new Fs is released if it needs any at all.
From now on I wont be working on any more Fs9 projects, instead I will be focusing on Cfs3 and the new Fs series soon to be released. As well I will launch my new web site in concordence with the release of the new flight sim from Ms.
Thanks in advance for your patiance.
Take care all.

It's a very cool bird indeed, it's also in IL2 Sturmovik!

But I see one minor error on the FS9 version though...

K, pic #4 is astonishing. What a combination of color, angle, scenery, weather...truly original and breathtaking. This series is something special. 120meg eh? I'll have pics of her ready for early 2007 ;)
