Hi all,

A couple of days ago I got kinda bored of flying, so I got Trainz Railroad Simulator 2006. It is very fun and adds a new thing to do on my computer.

The pics are of the tutorial mission, somewhere in Europe (I dont know what country).

Some cool smoke effects as I power up,

Loading up a train-full of coal from the "Western Deep Mine",

Cruising past a road in a small village,

Unloading my coal at the power plant,

All in all for $20, It is well worth it :D

Never seen the attraction of train sims but then i've never tried one either so can't really comment!

The loco is in the old British Rail livery so you must have been in the UK somewhere.

I used to have TRS 2004 from a magazine DVD, was quite fun, not the driving part, ok, nice, too, but what I really enjoyed was the level editor.... Than testing out the scenery with the Big Boy train, or cruising along a nice mountain scenery with 140mph using a downloaded ICE 2....

In my opinion, the only "good" train game is Railroad Tycoon 3 (RT3). You build and manage your own railroad company. A ton of fun. (But not near as good as FS ;D)
