What with the furor over the wonderful F-86 release; another excellent ship has snuck in as well - Rick Piper's lovely Hawker Siddley 748.

I love commuter turboprops; especially with Rick's comprehensive, complex panels and flight dynamics. This one tops the list so far IMO; with an extremely realistic startup and close monitoring of the engines required for flight.

Anyhoo; it's a very nice, lazy day, perfect for sightseeing or the beach. I took a load of passengers on a short hop from Jamaica to Cuba. Here's how it went:

Image My BahamasAir 748 ready for startup, passengers loaded.

Image Takeoff was smooth and stately.

Image Turning north for Cuba - sea and sky a study in blue.

Image Climbing to 9000' for the short hop.

Image Pretty plane, no? :)

Image Turning onto final a half hour later.

Image A bit low - more flying, less picture-taking! ;D

Image Touchdown, sweet as you please. The ship handles easily through all parts of the flight. :)

Cheers!
