A300 transcontinental flight

Postby cspyro21 » Thu Mar 30, 2006 1:54 am

Took the SGA A300 up today, decided to fly from KLAX to TNCM (I had to fly on 16X speed, otherwise the trip would have taken 8 hours when I had only 3 ::) :D)

Image
Ready to go at the gate, engines running and passengers on-  note the other A300's nose poking into the shot :D
Also, I was reading Jake's post with the AA 777, and a few of you said that the AA livery suited it. It suits the 777 well, and the A300 doesn't look bad in it :)

Image
Roaring away from KLAX at 7:30AM local time and waving goodbye to Las Vegas. (Compressioned raped this pic, sorry  :-[)
Image
Climbing up to cruise height and taking in the view. The passengers were in for a treat today - clear, warm skies and a great view for a lot of the trip.

At FL360, sitting back and admiring the view of the deserts below.

Image
After a good 6 hours, we were fast approaching TNCM. On final here with a very light bird. (Compression didn't do this pic any favours either)

Image
Classic A.Net TNCM shot as we glide over Maho Beach :D

Image
Touchdown! The planespotter who took this pic got it exactly right. :)

Image
And after a long, 8 hour flight, we arrived at 3:45pm local time as the passengers depart the aircraft and get ready for a good holiday/vacation.

Hope you like them! :)

Just look on the roof of any tall building and you'll see him in commercials trying to take off... ;)

In real life can a 777 travel that distance without having to land to refuel for the whole trip?
Its only in your mind, strong mind, strong soul and nobody can take that from you!

Sure, no problem.  A solid 7 hour flight, about 1/2 the total amount of time the 777 can be operated on *normal* commercial operations.

Nice pics :)
