Didnt know where to put this...big big problem: I finally got my perfect screenshot contest entry. In Irfanview, the shot is perfectly sharp and nice, but after resizing to 800x600 all becomes unsharp...I mean really unsharp. This never happened before and I did a lot of screenies already!
I also tried MWSnap3, the resizing is no problem, but after saving the file I open it and - same sh*t again, everything is totally blurry.
The Irfanview window is open right now and if I close, I will lose my shot...so please help me out!

Wierd, ive forgotton my terminology but some programs mess up images when you resize! Have you set it to keep the constraints??

Use either good old MSPaint or the freeware FSScreen to capture screen shots. Especialy with FSScreen, it is saved instantly so you won't have the problem you are having. Can't you save your picture as the large size and then resize? I've heard too many bad things about Irfanview. Use a proper DTP program like Picture It to resize instead.

Like what? I use IrfanView to resize all my photos for posting here. Never had a problem with it.

Ijineda. Save that shot in its original size in BMP format until you can sort this out.

Tried that already, but it didnt help. Anyway, I now set the resolution of my desktop a little lower and my caps are perfectly sharp again even after resizing. quite strange that I have to do this cause I didnt have to do this before.
But thanks everyone for their help and suggestions!

And Simonmd: Ill give FSScreen certainly a try.

The best thing about FSScreen is it's SIMPLE. All it does is save the present screen as it is in .bmp format, the program itself is tiny so won't have any impact on FS9 performance. Once you've finished flying, you've always got a 'master' to work from, even if the PC crashes en route (with FS9? surely not!!) your pics are safe.

I tried Irfanview for a while too, then I noticed that it did these things to pictures.

What I did instead was to resize in photoshop (which I use for my repaints and edits), and photoshop maintains quality brilliantly. The problem is you need to pay for it, although there are some cheap and very useful home editions of the program. :)

You could however, download the demo of Paint Shop Pro. It's quite similar to Adobe Photoshop, and produces similar results. However, since it's a demo it will probably expire after a while...
