Now what is that last plane?  I saw it at my recent airshow, and thought it was an A-6, but it's slightly different, the cockpit at least.

Looks like an EA-6. Basically the same plane but configured for electronic warfare (radar deception and jamming, ect.). Also occasionally outfitted with MAD gear (Magnetic Anomaly Detection) for finding those pesky Soviet subs that got too close to the carrier battle group.

My question is, whats the second to last plane. It looks a U-2, but different. Much shiney-er and the engine isn't inside the fuse.

Oh, well seeing that plane was interesting, the back seat doesn't have any forward view whatsoever, would make his job interesting wouldn't it.

Back seater doesn't need any forward view. It's like a RIO in a Cat, or a navigator on a B-52. All the back-seater's job is is to moniter the radar, MAD (if equipped), and to do other electronic warfare things. All the pilot has to do is get where he's told.

It's a General Dynamics RB\WB-57F. You can get Piglet's model on the most recent Military pages on this site.
