Not sure if you saw me in the other thread Simon- Brenden Torphy DL123 ;)  Saw your threads on the FTG forums so I had a head start ;D

My last Caribbean vacation was to St John, which is St Thomas' sister island, you take a ferry from the harbor.  I will never forget the flight from San Juan to St Thomas-it was an extremely busy vacationer weekend, so AA put a 757 on the route.  The runways worked out that after we took off, we did very little manuevering before we were on course again for a direct approach.  Cruising altitude was 9,000', total flight time 9 minutes ;D

You're chippin away at that framerate problem, keep it up! excellent vid ;)

btw-I know you used an iFDG model for that, but the panel you used, have you tried it on the POSKY model?  If so, is it VC friendly? (do the gauges in the POSKY VC still show up)

btw, the only aircraft I fly right now is the POSKY 757 for Delta (I have 230+ hours in the POSKY 752), so your vids and shots have been especially pleasing to me :)

Nice vid, but do you really get that low framrates? I wouldn't be able to land like that, but thats just me. Then again, it could just be an effect of the video capture.

Where can I get Game Cam, and is it free?

Sounds like you had a great trip Brendan, glad you enjoyed the video. Sorry, never used the POSKY model, i've found all of their AC very hard on frames and some a suspect FDE's as well. That's the price for detail I suppose! The panel itself is actualy ment for the 777 but I think it suits the 757 well, however, I must admit, I rarely fly the 757 having the LDS 767 and PMDG craft in my hanger.

I get 'nearly' as low frames on average. The video does rob a couple of FPS but is nowhere near as frame hungry as Fraps. GameCam is free and has no recording time limit, however, you do have to pay extra if you want to record the sound as well.

Alright, thanks anyway Simon.  That vacation kicked serious ass by the way, in case anyone was wondering 8)

The approach to King in real life is really cool-the runway threshhold starts literally right where land starts, so if you have a window seat you're getting lower... and lower... and lower... and then you're thinking "ya know, it would be great if, like, a runway showed up right about now, or land, or, CHRIST ANYTHING!... oh we're on the ground." If you look it up on a.net, you can see the jagged rocks surrounding the runway that add that much more danger for hotshot pilots ;D
