When the Mig-29 demo was mentioned in one of the other threads it raised a few Eyebrows me thinks... so took her up for a spin.

The package consists of the Clean display models in the textures shown here in ths thread ( 4 in total)

There were sounds included but am not sure whether that was the final soundpack. NO VC btw..

Anyway Took all four liveries up for a spin around and over Austria.

Now many people will compare this one with Berserks Freeware 29 . The both have things going for them... textures on this one arte better I think but the one thing I miss in this onbe is the afterburner effect and the boost in power it delivers when Shift+F4 is pressed. Decide for yourself which one you prefer.. I for one am perfectly satisfied with B's version. I think these two will coexist side by side for a while..

Looks alright, maybe it's possible to just slap Beserk's airfile in there? Noobs opinion... :)

Interesting textures but Beserk's is better looking I think, I don't think I'd pay money for that product...

Still, will try it out and reserve judgement till then...thanks for posting!

The afterburner isn't optimal hence the cubed textures..

But In general.. Ivan what do you think of the model?

You need the heat shimmer thing from the effects folder... don't forget the textures

Overall:
model looks nice, good attention to detail.

Minor gripes:
Intake covers should be selectable inflight... There is some manual control of these as they can be put in opened postion on the ground when there is no need for FOD screens...

You'll have to hack around in the panel config to get a working 2D panel

And my major problem with the full package in general:
Why no early MiG-29A (no lead-in on the tailfins), MiG-29 NG (big spine ones) and UB trainers?

Anyway, the full CD package (and the MiG-29K pack) has the 'Kuz'... for about the same price as LOMAC, and without everyone shooting at you while doing carrier landings. Seems to focus on the Russian navy though, and not on the main MiG-29K operator (which is India)
