America's 1940's nightmare

Postby Falcon500 » Sat Mar 04, 2006 12:04 am

The year is 1945, A carrier is parked off San Fransico ( ::)) and the "Japs" are attacking the Bay area

Image
Aichi D-3A1's attack the Golden Gate Bridge!
Image
Mitsubishi G4M2 Betty's attack port facilities ( ???)
Image[
And their fighter cover strafe the airfields! KI-43B Oscars (???)
Image   But here come the defenders, The Lockheed P-38F Lightning
Image  The Chance-Vought F4UA1 Corsair
Image  And the venerable Republic P-47D-23

and then America wakes up ( ::))
What do I do you ask? I struggle! Then destroy! Then try to put back together what I just broke on accident.....

Now, correct me if I am wrong, but would we notice WAYY before that carier made it into San Fran Bay? I think the beeping on the radar would have made a pretty good alarm clock.

Well, in theory the radar should have worked, the fact is, the U.S. was surprise attacked at Pearl Harbour, despite the enemy being spotted on radar and other enemy sightings were reported in, no-one expected the attack for some reason, even though there was so much preparation and defense ready.

The Japanese carriers did approach with stealth and the U.S.A. got it's butt kicked with huge losses over a very short time.

Luckily the US carriers were not in the harbour or it would have been a complete disaster.

Lest we forget.

What happened after the first shot? We kicked their a**es-- from Pearl to Berlin, that's what happened!! Good thing, too, because had we lost, we wouldn't have Bill Gates making all these really cool toys for us today.

BTW, The U.S. got whooped plenty of times in the process  ;)

Keep your super-patriotic, disrespectful stuff for yourself or go somewhere else.

Well it is the truth. ::) Besides, it's not being super-patrotic or disrespectful. What's the big deal? He likes his country.

And second, I dont think saying "we did win" is correct. According to your age, you werent born at that time. And as you should know, the war is OVER.

There is nothing wrong with that statement either. I think he means "we" as the Allied nations. Is the US not part of that?

That is true Flyboy 28 but, We are on the INTERnet meaning there are people from different nations.

and so you know, I myself am a U.S. and was born in Michigan. But i still spoke of the U.S. in the third person, because not every knows who my, "us, we, ours" is.
