???

Yeah - know the feeling. I'm also getting more and more glitches, hangs and stoopid problems to the point where I can almost not bother to fly any more. And I haven't changed anything major in FS for months.

Trouble is you never know how much of it is OS related and how much is FS. As many people have found, you can go through the whole painful process of reinstalling FS and come out the other side with absolutely nothing any different to before.

If you're gonna reinstall my advice is - go the whole hog and include Windows as well.

I have an empty 80GB hard drive and I'm thinking about doing a clean install from the ground up and having just FS2004 and GW3 on it. I can just keep using my existing installation while I'm doing it and take my time - but I bet it'll be worth it.

next time you reinstall your addons use the programm JAB04 from http://www.jacky.brouze.ch, then if you have to reinstall your addon, again, later it will make things easier...
actually with this programm you don't have to reinstall them, just to 're-activate" them.

have a look.
bon courage

You're welcome!!
you will see it's really usefull, if you have several addon, ask the software to analyse your texture folder, and then ask it to execute the recommanded action... you will be surprised be the space you will save!!

Very nice Pics Omag! I love that little plane.

I'm going through a re-install now, err, the guys in the hardware forum must be missing me, I've been at it all week. My previous install was over 30gb.   :P

I kept my old original FS9 folder, and a copy of the new one as well. (Those 2 new 200gb HDD's are coming in handy!)
