"Tiger, tiger..."

Very excited to at last find a Grumman Tigercat for FS9; another nice one from the estimable Ito:

Can't control props or mixture in this model, but just cob the throttle and she takes off like a rocket. So much power!!!

Very nice framerate-friendly textures:

The VC doesn't have a working panel, but this 2D one is pretty cool (not sure about an HUD in a 1943 design, but I'm not nitpicking... ;D).

I'd definitely pay for a fully-functional version of this; it's a blast to fly and one of my favorite warbirds ever. Originally designed as a carrier-based support fighter, it was deemed too heavy for carrier ops. Sadly, the Tigercat  never got a chance to prove itself in combat in WWII, but many have done quite well as firebombers, racers, etc.

It's sacrilegious to not show any DVC! ;D ;D ;D

I like that plane.  Where can I download. It's looks like a good competitor to my favorite P-38. For that matter, it look like a Marine version of the P-38.

The VC is very crude... non-functioning blurry instruments (at least in my install); not disappointed as it's a freebie and will likely be updated, but it wasn't worth showing, really.
The Tigercat was no Lightning; a whole different animal. Inferior in many ways (although built for a different purpose), but ever since I saw one at an airshow, I've been fond of them.
