Hi all,

These are my first freeware gallery screenshots. The aircraft is the CA-16 Wirraway flying around Amberly AFB (Queensland, Australia) and the environment is the brilliant VOZ package.

The Wirraway was an Australian development of the North American Aviation NA-16-1A and NA-16-2K aircraft (known variously as the 'Texan' or 'Harvard'). It is powered by Australian manufactured versions of the Pratt & Whitney R1340 Wasp engine. Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) built a total of 755 Wirraways from 1939 to 1946.

Enjoy! More to follow soon...  :)

I gave some information about it at the top of my post.  ::)

The Wirraway was an Australian development of the North American Aviation NA-16-1A and NA-16-2K aircraft (known variously as the 'Texan' or 'Harvard').

I'll add on....

In appearance, the most obvious differences are the D-shaped rudder on the Wirraway, and variations to the intake below the cowling.

The Wirraway differed from the U.S. trainer prototype in having an armed capability, with provision for two fixed forward machine guns of rifle calibre above the engine, and a flexible machine gun of similar calibre in the rear cockpit. Light bomb racks could be fitted under the wings. On the  26 December 1942, a Wirraway shot down a Japanese navy A6M 'Zero-Sen' fighter.

Thanks! Although it's dawn. Pinkish colours for dawn and orange colours are for dusk.
