Ski Trip Pt2

Our family's sightseeing trip had gone horribly wrong! One engine and over very inhospitable terrain and to make matters worse, the pilot had let slip that the electrics had been shorted out by the explosion so he couldn't call a mayday.
Then, a glimer of hope, the terrain started to become greener, we were at the end of the mountain range. "Look", said the pilot, "there's the lake, there should be an airfield at the end of it".
Sure enough, as we cleared the last ridge, I could make out an airfield down in the valley. "hold on", said the pilot, " i'm going to have to come in steep, I haven't got the power to go round". We hit the ground and bounced into the air again, 'this is it' I thought.
Phew, somehow, the pilot managed to keep control and skidded 90 degrees onto the grass. "as soon as we stop, get the hell away from the plane!" he shouted. We didn't need to be told twice!
Still, all's well that ends well, I'll go by bus in future!
