Well, remember, it was filmed in the 80's. I'm sure the Russians didn't like the idea of Hollywood calling up Gorbachev and asking for a few MiG-25's..

I guess you're right, maybe they could have got some Migs from their next-door neighbours in Cuba?

Posted: Sat Jan 28, 2006 11:11 pmThat was multiplayer. The F-5 is the DSB F-5E from Simvi, but it is sound alliased to the F-5A. I recommend getting all three packs. And all MiGs end in odd numbers. That is why they picked MiG 28, it would never be a real aircraft. I was more appaled in Iron Eagle when the F-4 Phantom represented the MiG-29 tohugh.

I'm sure America had some captured Migs.
I never saw the movie, were the dogfights in the movie filmed or did they use stock footage?

Posted: Sun Jan 29, 2006 11:49 pm4 F-14s were hired and 1 F-5E (single seat) and 1 F-5F (2 seat) for the movie and no they couldnt get their hands on any real MiGs so the made their own also 2 A-4s were hired
