There are several categories available for the next "Best Of The Best" poll, if you have a category suggestion, post it here. A couple of possibilities..."Uglies"..could include The Guppy, Me163 Komet (sorry Lemon but that's one sorry ass looking jet) or how about "Radicals" which would have aircraft like the Flying Wing, the Bell X-19 etc..aircraft that pushed the design and technology envelope. So let's hear what you've got and we'll put it to a poll...

I don't think the Komet is all that ugly actually. How about most aggresive (A10, Phantom etc..) ?

I like the idea of "uglies", kind of like the aircraft listed on Unreal Aircraft or otherwise.

Uglies would sort of work.. Would that be a 'vote-for-an-aircraft-which-is-widely-considered-to-be-ugly-but-you-think-looks-good' type of thread?

I like the look of the Super Guppy, the A-10, etc..

You'll never get a consensus about a particular design being pretty or not.  So how about a poll for the plane with the broadest range of responses about whether it's ugly or attractive?

What about the 'Most Original' or 'spactacular Aicraft' or just a catogory which has all aicraft which have achieved the most in their 'life' span  ;D

It's probably best to just stick to basic categories, i.e. general aviation aircraft, float planes, WWII bombers, etc, etc. Will save confusion and/or controversy

ahh..the problem with uglies is the uglier they are the more i like em so that poll would be a hard one for me but it would be good fun though...

However, 'most remarkable' catagory? Got to be the DC3. Nearly 70 years old and still flying, wow!

Don't see how that could be judged. No air force operates an aircraft it doesn't have any use for...
