Collecting the D18....

Postby TSC. » Thu Jan 19, 2006 2:11 pm

Hi all,

Have just completed my last little BFU job up at Ketchikan, the job was to fly up from BFU North & collect an old Beechcraft D18 that had been brought into Ketchikan International.

Having flown back from Foxcamp to BFU North to get a clean change of clothes, I had a quick dinner & then decided to get cracking, the weather report wasn't looking favourable for the next few days & all of us at BFU North were eager to get the D18 to it's new home.

As I headed back out in my Husky, bound for Ketchikan Intl, the weather was already turning for the worse, the clouds were coming in & the rain that we had been promised had started to show itself:

Making my way to Ketchikan, hoping to get there & back with the D18 before the bad weather that had been forecast materialised:

Hmm, not looking too bad on the weather front, but those brooding clouds could be heralding the arrival of some nasty weather:

Arriving at Ketchikan International. It looks like I may have to bide my time & wait for this weather to clear before I take the D18 up for my first flight in it, not worth risking a plane I'm unfamiliar with if there may be a storm brewing:

Down at Ketchikan:

Finding somewhere to park. Time to go & find this D18 & figure out what sort of state she's in:

Could've sworn I read it was yours - oh well, nevermind - congrats on new_water_effects.zip!!

6.8FPS....what was running in there?

Real World Weather - it just killed my FPS, that was the reason I changed the weather in part 2.
