Sometimes FS still amazes me... for example why I've been so stupid to ignore this amazing model until today!

David Maltby's BAC - 111 ... simply gorgeous!

So I took the bird for a test flight, from Curacoa to everyone's favorite approach... TCNM - Or Princess Juliana on St-Maarten!

Image

Waiting for clearance.... boy, now this is a VC!

Image

And up we go, she climbs well!

Image

Leaving Curacoa in a smog of jetfumes...

Image

It became quickly clear that the manual autopilot is the thing for me... you set the rates of climb an decent and control the turning angles... and I had to watch the engines closely, cause they tend to overheat, and we don't want to end up in the ocean!

Image

But it worked out just fine... after a while we were cruising at 19.000 feet, with mighty fine weather!

Image

The awaited approach in pt II!

Cheers,

Omag

I wonder if we'll have one for the VC-10 (VC - how appropriate ;) ) or the Comet next...  :)

Stunning, i'm a big fan of DM's classic airliners. Funny how a british plane looks better in an American paintjob! There are rumours that a VC for the VC10 is on the way, can't wait!

Awesome photos, just one problem, Airport ID is TNCM, found out when I tried to find it  :P
