For the first time I decided to spend a night in the dog house.(flying freight)
Short flight for such a long-range aircraft. Handled almost like a lear. 80% cargo and only about 30% fuel.
Noble MD-11F out of KBOS.

Like Silverwings water at this alt, but above FL260 it gets ugly

compression doesn't do the plane justice

Cool set here elite, tad on the dark side, but I think that's part of your objective here. 30%?...... fuel's overrated anyway.. ;)

I was only flying from Boston, MA. to Grand Rapids, MI. at FL360. Only about 600-650nm.

lol, yah that does sound like a usual buisness flight, like a lear. Nice practice tho, I'm guessing once you reached you "expected" cruising alttiute.......FL360, you had to drop alttitude quicklly to make you airport (distination). :'( ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

No, I was up there for 300nm. ATC was  a little late telling me to come back down though. I had to go around as I was still at 4000' when I was handed off to the tower. I was decending at 1500' per min. Off to start leg 2. Grand Rapids to Gulfport-Biloxi.

Yah, true just remember when flying to any airport with a comercial jet, you usually desend 100nm away from your destination, now that's at your flight-level, also you made the right alttitude 4,000, from expected range of about 10nm, so It will give you a very smoother desend. ;)

Ever hear of an emergency descent? ;D

What you do is pull back the power, and when your airspeed is low enough, extend all your flaps. Pitch the nose down and maintain VFE(Maximum Flap Extension speed). For maximum effect, put the aircraft in a 30 degree bank. I don't know about the large aircraft, but with a single engine aircraft, it works like a charm 8)

Last shot is from the non-exsitant VC. only parts of the plane that are modeled are the wings, wing engines, and main gear bays.
