Otter in the Alps

Postby Tweek » Thu Nov 17, 2005 11:50 am

Well I was pleasantly surprised when I downloaded Lennart's textures, and came up with these results!

All 100% freeware. Eric Dantes' Twin Otter, Lennart's ground textures, FS SkyWorld clouds and sky textures, SimV world mesh. ... default autogen ;D

That last one is especially nice, good sense of perspective and scale IMHO, and a great model to go with it....

And it shows how the shadows bring the mountains to life!

I agree, last one is great, and the shadows really enforce the relief perception.

The only thing that distubrs me a little bit is that I could never find any winter textures that could really show snow! Those simili-forest textures are too dark for me, I would really enjoy some "whiter" colors...

I think these are just the winter textures, not hard winter...though I'm not sure...
