Great shots, I love those colors.

I can't remember the name of that first plane. Does it have a VC ?

Nice but I still think our Fuhrer Maggie was right about how hideous those BA paintjobs were!

Thanks guys. You're right about the colours. That light really brings them out I think.

:) Ahh.....just like Maggie, you're not a Marketing man Mark. The tails were a great marketing tool - remember what the slogan was - 'BA, The World's Favourite Airline'. And the tails emphasised that by showing the breadth and depth of the World connections that BA had. And very successful they were too - and much loved by BA's millions of foreign (not just British) passengers. That's how they should be measured, not just as a livery or colour scheme.

Regrettably BA management has forgotten the importance of Marketing. Nowadays as in most large companies they are just trumped-up crappy accountants. All they understand is cutting costs - ie firing people. They know nothing about building businesses.

???

;) Not quite - it's an A320-211. I did the repaint a couple of years or so ago and fell out with Project Airbus who refused to allow me to upload it - remember, they wanted to do EVERY livery themselves   :o

Totally unrealistic at the time and so it has proven. But there you go - life's too short. Don't know why folks go to the trouble of creating super models and then want to restrict the access to them for the people who want them. PA have gone now but it still stands up as an excellent model. I think they were the first group outside of M$ to develop a highly detailed VC and it still looks good a couple of years or so down the line.

Sorry, missed your post before.

That's the Curtiss Hawk III Model 68C in Chinese livery. You get a couple of models and several liveries for specific pilots in the years approx 1937. It does have a VC but it's a little bit basic. But the plane's well worth having if you like vintage aircraft (and I do  ;) )

And best of all it's here at SimV

Your pick of planes certainly made the lighting work. Crisp, colorful and clean..Sunsets can show great contrasts as well if you have the right sky colors.  :)
