Mping again ;D So little time for posting this week (and next) but got in a session, first one with Clipper,
We had connection probs, but I got to Interlaken first...

Image

Clipper arrived, and started doing a strange porpoise impression before calming and sinking into my mesh....

Image

We got airborne... using some non-default mesh, forgotten which, and the Avalon repaint (thanks again Spitroast, love this one)....

Image

Clipper did a great T and G after this was shot... I didn't record it, as he expressly asked me not to ;)

Image

Shortly after, I crashed into a cliffside while typing, completely mashing the little kite... as you can see this inexplicably struck Clipper as immensely amusing ;D

Image

Here, Clipper is going in for another T + G, looks well set up, can you spot his mistake?

Image

He forgot to tell me not to take pics  :D :D :D LOL

I don't know how but he ended up in the trees and only just managed to swerve right and down and touch the runway just before it ended.

Image

How I laughed!!! Tears were streaming from my eyes.... ;)

Image

Final shot before signing off... the intrepid duo :) Great time had.... mp is FUN!!!!!!!!! (sorry, just discovered it ::))

Image

Hope you liked them... Cheers, Krigl

I dont know what it is but it seems that alot of people are starting to do MP. Is everyone finally changing over to Cable?

But it cant be bad, its starting some stunning shots. Mabe we can do a entire SimV fly in over the summer. Man I can see it now over 1,000 simmers crouding in over at heathrow or LAX. And not only would parking be a problem but so would landing. Man we would have planes stacked up every 100 feet on final. 8) ;)
Cheers

Excellent shots...!
I fancy a trip with my mate Clipper...problem is...time zones again...opposite sides of the Pond.... :'(...!
LOL...!

The old MP seems to be easier to get on to, than it used to be, especially using WS Pilots as the Server, thanks To John Baymore's recommendation... ;D...!

Personally, I use 56k dial-up, Windows XP, (no Service Packs, so no Firewall problems), no complicated Routers, etc, and I have no difficulty getting connected, (thank-you Jordan... :-*...), and the sim runs at full speed with everything max'd... ;D...!
...and it's GREAT FUN... ;)... ;D...!

Cheers all...!

Paul...G-BPLF... 8)...!

It appears that the lads in the screen-shots above used the default aircraft, 'cos that's the only way it works successfully...trust me... ;)...!

Cheers

Yea, I think that at some point we definately need a simv flyin.  Maybe do it like oshkosh, where we fly in, then different people do arial displays.

I would really like to have a little air display, would be a good chance to show off your skills, and see what others can do (Ozzy especially ;D). Of course, if there were to be masses of people watching, you'd have to all sit in the default 172 to reduce lag :P

Or the paper airplane in the misc section. Thats the only aircraft I know of that I get 70+FPS in seattle

But man think about it, if we really wanted to fly whatever we wanted and be able to see eachother we would have HUGE hanger.

Well atm, I've got 8.73GB worth of aircraft. I sort of manage to keep up with what most people are flying. I usually try and download the aircraft when in a multiplayer game, if i don't have it. Not always the best option for some, though.

Thanks for the comments guys, it WAS fun.... thanks CSpyro and Ozzy for introducing me to it :)

I imagine there will be a lot more SimV member flying going on in the near future, it seems to be catching on logarithmically.... bumped into Nemo on WSPilots last night, and AngelMaker was there too, I think he's from SimV...Some people have been doing it for ages, of course..

It's a lot of fun and I recommend it to all...

Cheers

Yes, it was a great time.thanks again to Krigl for setting it up and guiding me through the initial set-up. ....I love the idea of an Oshkosh spectacular. We should try to organize it soon. I'm hoping to join the U.S. tour soon, I hope I can keep up with you more experienced MPers.

Excellent shots...!

Fozz, maybe we could set something up for this coming week-end. I'm meeting Krigl (exact time to be determined) but it would be somewhere around 6:00 p.m. Saturday your time. We're starting off with a guided tour of Montreal (my home town). Everyone is welcome, of course. We could hop from hometown to hometown and learn a bit about where some of you guys live...P.S. my treeline landing still beats the hell out of my initiation flight months ago with GnatMan. Cheers all...Clipper

Oh, and krigl, I forgot to ask... What ground textures are you using there? They look a little more.. 'grassy' than usual :P
