For Heretic......& Alrot...............
Hi all,
I saw Heretic's 'Last Canadian Pic' thread & it reminded me about this texture I had kicking about.
The texture is for Heretic & the telescopes are for Alrot, enjoy.
Although i'm not in Canada, I took a flight from Hillcrest Field to the NRAO Green Bank Telescope (WV52), both in West Virginia. Astronomers use the Green Bank Telescope to unlock the secrets of the Universe. The Observatory is home to the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope, the largest fully steerable dish in the world. NRAO operates the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope (GBT), the world's largest fully steerable single aperture antenna. In addition to the GBT, several other telescopes exist at the Green Bank site.
Well, enough talk, here are the pics...............
Up, up & away:

Leaving Hillcrest Field behind us, perched all alone on top of it's own hill:

On short final for NRAO Greenbank:

Just off the centre-line, but it's not too bad:

All off, time to go & explore - the universe.............

Scenery from Avsim.
Cheers,
TSC.
