25kts IAS, so with a 130kt ish headwind you'd be fine...

It was 25Knots on touch down Because he stalled it so he could land where he did (think it was delibrate)

Lol it was a deliberate stall..... but it was fun to try again.... (not half asleep this time)... you should all try it sometime.... but looping the 225 is a pain in the a$$....

btw thanks hunny for posting these shots for me......

I used to do that using ArrCab and no headwind in the 225, it is a REAL challenge ;)
Of course flying inverted with the shuttle on your back under the Golden Gate at the northern end where it is narrowest is also a worthy challenge ;D

Ask Ozzy, he's been doing the AN225 thing for a few years now.  I saw him do some amazing things with that big ole crate.
Nice job, Nemo

Ozzy was replying at the same time I was, but the particular stunt he did was the one, I believe that I had asked him to do.  Wow!!!!!  is all I could say

I think it was you who reckoned you couldn't get a heavy down in that crater runway in Venezuela Ed... Now that is one of the best landings I've EVER done! Skimming the crater and holding her just off the stall was one hairy bit of flying :o The fact I did it first time amazed even me 8)

I'll be impressed when I see him launch the 225 from the Nimitz! ;)

'course, I'd have a hard time landing the Lear on the Nimitz...
