This place looks like a pig sty!!!!!!!!!!
Well thats where I was heading anyway, 'Pig Sty' an airfield on the Orcas Islands (Washington State), 704nm South East from Hanks.
This is one of the few airfields I get to go to that actually has a decent length tarmac runway - which means that I get to take the BFU Learjet 35 for a spin, lucky me!!
Before I left Hanks (Picked up the Lear at Juneau Intl), they told me one thing, "just make sure they now YOUR COMING BEFORE YOU LAND"!!!!
"Yeah, whatever".
On my way south:

After my downwind leg, I make for my finals heading North West, Unfortunately I carry too much speed into the final & have to go around for another attempt:

But look what I found on my 'go around'. A 'secret' underground seaplane base - by all accounts it's possible to land a small Cessna in there:

Climbing again, with the 'secret base' & the airfield behind me:

Lined up properly this time:

Just about to hit the tarmac, there seems to be lots of activity on the island, trucks going to & fro, pigs meandering here & there:

Safely down, even if it isn't quite central:

I guess this is why I HAD to let them know I was coming, there a few of these dotted around the airfield, good job I actually remembered to radio in this time:

Scenery from Hovercontrol.
Cheers,
TSC.
