It was 22:15 on a saturday evening on the 8th of october to be exact. I had just watched the Football Match betweenHolland and the Czech Republic which ended in a 2-0 win for us dutchies thereby qualifying the team for the World Championships football in 2006 in Germany, when the phone rang..

Well I went to Leeuwarden  and I couldn't believe my eyes. There She was, K-3045 and looking better than she had ever done! The head flight engineer approached me and told me that they had taken good care of her. I wen't to the office of General Meijers and he asked me If I wanted to fly her next summer. YES!!! of course! I said. And that was it. Now take her up for a test flight!


Yahooo!!!! This feels Great!!!

When I landed the General told me that he had never seen a smile that wide. He told me that maybe they were going to do a promotional football F-16 too. We would fly "Support" Missions on a PR tour through Holland and Germany..We will just have to see I guess..

Don't worry about it, it's just some good old football ( I hate the word soccer) rivalery between Holland and Germany... We Belgians like to get in the middel of it and sting both. However it must be said the Dutch are easier to sting than the Germans... And if we keep our current team-shape up, we Belgians won't be stinging again until 2054!  ;D
