Is this addon a real good inhancement?  I've sceen clippers pics with it.  I do think the clouds look better. however I notice that the sky is odd colors.  Is that something the program does automatically or is that something the user would set up.

Also, is it a standalone program or does it just replace the default weather engine (for lack of a better term), and does real world weather work the same way?

It does replace the default textures, but if I remember right they are included in the download, I guess just in case you want to revert back to them. Real Weather still works the same even with FSSkyworld. 8)

FSSkyworld runs independantly, and is, in my opinion a must have if you're looking for realistic clouds. The default textures are included, just one click and they are back. The sky colors available are very extensive. You choose from many different colors, find the one that is suitable for the mood you are trying to create. Skyworld also offers the most realistic full moon available, eclipses, deep blue skies, jet black nights which really highlight the stars. The program even offers cloud sets that are easy on your frame rates. A phenomenal assortment of eye candy offered, you just have to take a bit of time learning the ropes. Highly recommended!

It's the best add-on available for sky and clouds that's free, as far as I know. Not perfect, and sometimes looks terrible, but if you play around with it a bit you can get some very nice effects - just look at all the beautiful screenshots around, most are probablyl with FSSky world.

Whether it's 'real-looking' or not is debatable... but the whole sim in fact looks to me like some kind of fairy tale land, I enjoy the colours and moods, I'm not so bothered about reality. But then I'm not a serious simmer. But then serious simmers I imagine worry more about VCs, panels, navigation, flight models anyway and don't care about clouds... :)

Or directly from the official site:
http://fsw.simflight.com/fsw2004.html

And concerning your fears about the colors, I confirm that you will be able to choose between several sky colors (independently from the clouds), one more red on the evening, one more yellow etc... same for the morning and mid-day.

And yes, with two clicks you can re-install all the default textures if you want (but you won't, thrust me  ;D )

Yes it does work with real weather  8)
And I fly on IVAO a lot, and they have their own real weather server when you connect, and it works wonderfully with the IVAO server too... ;D

That's right, it works quite fine, as it JUST replace textures, and doesn't modify anything else. So all the weather features such as real weather or weather themes still work as before...but they are much better looking  ;D 8)
