Training for the Maple Leaf pt2 the Hornet
As I mentioned before I was a display pilot flying the F/A-18F in specil millenium colors in the CAF. Had to do some practising and I took the guy who flew me in in huis chippe with me. I think he rather enjoyed the experience.
The guy was a former Voodoo pilot and was somewhat used to a fast jet. Taking off witgh full afterburners was still very exhilarating though, he told me afterwards.

I decided to show hime how stable this thing was. I turned her over and told the guy"Look no hands!" We both had a laugh.

We got a bit philosophical when seeing the beatifull moon and we asked ourselves. "Where is mankind gonna be at the end of this millenium?" So much things have been discovered in such a short time. Even the first powered flight was less than 96 years ago!

Seeing the our beatifull country wake up helped the philosophical mood too..

We were soon joined by a second camera plane which took some test shots. The final shots would be integrated in a defence calendar so we'd better get it right!

Taking a closer look at the painting. Dawn of a new era..Sounds right to me!

One last look over at the spooky looking mountains and it was time to head back. On to a new Millenium!
