hey all.  I DL the Great falcon 50 from the france vfr site and noticed that when I start FS9 it says that the FSSound.dll may be incompatible with FS9.  I had the sme problem when I used to hae the FS2002 version of the plane.  Is there a fix for this or is the file even necesary of does it even cause a problem?

Thoughts as alway are apreciated.

Joe

You need to add the following lines to your FS9.cfg file:

[OLDMODULES]
fssound.dll = 1
SOARRec.dll=1

Lots of addon planes use fssound.dll, so it's worth the PITA!

try looking under document and setting in your C drive, it will be in the folder that your computer is named under. then look under application data/microsoft/fs9/fs9cfg

I still can't find fs9 config.  Any more specific ideas on where to find it.

The required file is hidden...you need to go under Tools, select Folder options, then select the View tab...

Click the radio button that says Show Hidden Files and Folders.

After that, you will see the folder Application Data in the following path:

C:\Documents and Settings\yourname

The fs9.cfg file is in this path:

C:\Documents and Settings\Virtual Aviator\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9

Use NotePad to open it! ;)
