Hi, Krigl here, sorry to post as Kriglus, haven't changed my name, should have my old name back soon as soon as I can get into work to find out what my password is...dumb excuse I know, but I registered at work and have never managed to change my password in the profile, it always reverts to the same impossible to remember numbers/letters I was given... :'(

Well, anyway, have been beefing up my adopted country's capital city to give myself a real destination to fly into... here are some scenic shots... hope you like them....

View from... pretty high up... plenty of bridges.
Image

The River Vltava from Vysehrad, where tons of famous Czechs have been laid to rest.
Image

Charles Bridge - I got up really early to take this one, before all those bloody foreign tourists and portrait hawkers flood in... ;D
Image

View of the Castle and Petrin Hill, where there's a mini-Eiffel tower and some great warped mirrors for making your beshorted hairy legs look long, and your paunch wider than it will be even after another 20 years of the local beer.
Image

A housing estate in the centre of town...
Image

Minas Morgul grins balefully across the Morgul Vale at the citadel of Gondor and fair Minas Tirith... storm clouds gather overhead.
Image

St Vitus Cathedral, within the walls of Prague Castle.
Image

A commanding view over the city.

The Housing Estate pt.2.

Smichov railway station, with the TV tower behind...

And a farewell to golden Prague...

All scenery from here

if you are interested. Just find Prague on a map and then on the map on the site, it's marked 'A'. Thanks to all the people who put a lot of work into that!

This is my last screenie post for a week because I'm going on holiday... will be missing SimV and all you guys... :'( :)

Happy flying!

Cheers

Krigl

Site is suffering under the load

Now my czech is very bad... am i right in thinking that you should download anything from that page and put the orthophoto at the bottom layer?

I don't think it matters, but it should have higher priority (be closer to 1 on the scenery list) than any mesh of the CR you have. All my buildings are closer to 1 than the orthophoto and that seems to work fine...
For all those who slept through their Czech classes in school here is a superquick dictionary (dog tired, just finished proofreading a 150 page chemistry textbook, big drive (by my standards...350 km :)) tomorrow)....to help with downloading from that site if you want to take the plunge.

stahnout = download - if it isn't there, the scenery isn't finished yet
hrad = castle
