IL-86
Hey all,
I found this little Russian beauty on Avsim and decided to give it whirl. Pretty good model, the panel is aliased to the 747 which is the only downside. Includes a paintkit as well for us painters. Has wing-views too!! My post here shows a landing after a few rounds of the airport. A little surprise awaited me while taxi-ing. I heard ATC say "Aeroflot 786 Heavy, hold short...caution the departing 747". I acknowldeged the hold short. However, 5 seconds later I hear another ATC instruction: "Aeroflot 786 Heavy hold short.....caution the departing 767". Now I became puzzled as to how can two aircraft depart from the same runway. I switched views and found out that there was a parallel take-off in progress. The shots below show the 2 aircraft taking off:
My Landing...right on the centerline....

The 2 Aircrafts...Delta 767 and Default 747

747 Rotates...

Both Aircraft Initiating Climb...

Not only that, after a few seconds another ATC call: "Aeroflot 786 Heavy, hold short......caution the departing MD-80". By now I was getting impatient....
The MD-80 Rotating

After the MD-80 was gone, another call of a Beechcraft King Air on final. Finally after about 15-20 minutes of waiting, I taxi-ed to my parking spot and turned off the engines...
Cheers all,
Ashar
PS: It was rather realistic waiting for the traffic....
