TSC Tour PT4. Moffett Field to Mustang Landing
Hi all,
Well just a short hop today down to (nearly) the southern end of California. Today the tour south was from Moffett Field (KNUQ) near San Francisco to Mustang Landing, an airfield near Los Angeles. Taking in a flying visit to Sacramento because I missed the tea n' crumpets at High_Flyer240000's place on my way south yesterday.
Leaving Moffet Field's huge hangars behind us, we prepare to briefly head north:

well............................who could resist the chance to do this:

Arriving at Sacramento Intl (KSMF) I decided to do an impromptu loop for High_Flyer240000. Unfortunately this bird dosen't have any stunt smoke - so I simply sacrificed an engine for the occasion:

A quick waggle of the wings & we left Sacramento behind us, before turning south again:

Not many pics from the trip south as the scenery (default) seemed very boring & flat, only getting hilly again about 80nm north of 'Mustang landing':

I'm gonna get crucified for this one. Not actually bothering to contact the tower or make any preparations at-all for the landing (apart from a VFR check) I mistook this 'entrance road' for a landing strip. Oh well - all's well that ends well
:

Another top up of the tanks, supervised by the worlds smallest fireman presumably:

Time to settle in for the evening & watch the fun unfold:

Big thanks to Sock who told me about the 'Mustang Landing' scenery. :D
Cheers,
TSC.
