Now this is an A380

I bumped into this nice model of an A380 at Avsim. The textures are crisp and the detail is sharp. the only downside was its sound package (CFG pointing to the default 747 sound) as well as the panel.

I downloaded a real A380 panel from right here on SimV to compliment this beauty and it works fine! As for the sound file. I downloaded this not so great looking Finnair A380  :-/ (textures were blurry), But it had a banging sound file so I just copied it and threw into this A380 and VOILA  :o! You now have what has got to be one of your favorite aircrafts to fly out of your Hanger!

just hinting btw that I might be doing another hanger Roll call in the near future!

(Maiden Flight was Charles DeGualle to Heathrow Intl)

Thanks for the comments guys

I kept searching all the databases for a descent A380 that didn't have cheezy looking straw landing gears and blurry textures. I thought I found it in the Finnair A380 model. But it turned out the best thing about that model was its sound file.

So I dumped the plane and kept its airfile. Then I happened to be browsing for a Dehavilland Dash 8 panel and came across this highly detailed A380 panel and held on to that because I said I would find a nice A380 one day and this panel would suit it just fine!

So I stored it in my panels folder, Then I came across this British Airways livery of the A380 and my eyes went

I am a simmer and when I see something worth grabbing a whole of ..... I GRAB IT  ;D

Just because it is not in existance in the real world yet doesn't mean I am going to turn down the oppurtunity to fly one in my sim!  :-/

Besides with the economy the way it is this aircraft will probably be used by British Airways or Saudi Airlines. Everyone else claims to be poor when they are not! :(

(sides for us simmers there is a little sticker on this aircraft that you don't notice that says it is a Virtual Airline ;D)

Well, I like to keep things real...so I think I will wait... I also fly Long-Haul with Real-Time so it could be from anywhere between 6 hours to 15 hours :)

I like the A380 a lot, and that's a very nice repaint. However, like Woozy, I don't feel like flying it until it enters service, not sure why... can't get excited about the 787 either till it's 'out'. I did however take the A380 in house colours for a spin around Toulouse after its first flight:

Hope you don't mind me sticking this here....

If you want to have a Boeing like this but you don't have one, then the Best Available Boeing must be an Airbus.

Wow, phylisofical (sp?) ain't it?

Crash ;) (taking new medicine against upcoming headache)
