First shots with...

...my new card. :D!
Having previoulsy owned an nVidia MX- card, I've never had a decent picture with water in it...thus making the sea look flat :(
However, earlier today I got an Ati Radeon 9200 Atlantis, 256Mb DDR.
Being fully DX9 compatible means I have a reason to fly again. (last 2 shots)

First 6 are of my new airline, which, until more funds are available, will do chartered flights around the southwest UK.
Inaugural flight involved taking some OAPs on a short hop from Halwell to Eaglescott.

Taxiing for take-off at Halwell, weather seems ok...
Image

Cruising over Newton Abbott, still seems decent...
Image

Closing in on Eaglescott, things are starting to get a little dark...
Image

On final to Eaglescott, not sure about landing now...
Image

Down, now I gotta stop...
Image

"Made it" *wipes forehead*, parked and shutdown...
Image

And the shots of the water...

Caravan Amphib cruising from Kingston, Jamaica to Princess Juliana Intl, St. Maarten...
Image

AA flight 117 heading towards Princess Juliana Intl...

Comments and criticism welcome as always...

Thanks for taking the time to look,
Carl

I know the rush of finally getting the water thing together. I went months thinking my card NVidea fx5200 256k couldn't produce quality water, then I installed Lyon's water which had been sitting around my folder for months. I couldn't believe how stupid I was for not installing it months ago. Good water makes all the difference. I'm happy for you...slick set of shots as well! :)

glad you got away from the mx.  I used to have one, but then I got a new computer with good integrated graphics.

Integrated graphics have DX9 compatability? I too have an integrated chip and it does not support DX9 water textures :-/ :-[

Is that Lyon's water?  Or waterzone, for it appears not many use waterzone anymore, except ME of course.

I also had a GeForce MX, and now a Radeon 9600.  Now I need more RAM.  256 just isn't enough!

GMan, stick with the Lyon. It kicks Wzone's butt!
