Here's an aircraft from way,way back (possibly even before Fozzer was born!) Can anyone; 1) name the aircraft  2) name the maker  3) tell us what event this aircraft was famous for and finally, 4) accurately guess which is actually older, the plane or the Fozz?  ;)

Isn't that the Bleriot XI, made by Louis Bleriot, used to cross the English Channel (though he reportedly referred to it as La Manche for some reason) in 1909?

To be honest, as a newbie I'm not sure who Fozzer is so I'll leave 4 open...

Nice shot, by the way, not sure if he'd have flown in that weather though ;)

I would say that's correct. Believe it or not the original aeroplane considerably predates Fozzer. He's not quite that old, not yet anyway. :o

Louis Bleriot was a proud Frenchman & La Manche (The Channel) is how the French refer to the strip of water between France & England. They obviously object to it being regarded as English. ;)

Well done, it is, in fact the Bleriot XI. All questions answered correctly although there is a contaversy concerning Fozzer's age (Hagar thinks he's younger, Neodug older). I'll get Fozz's attention and he can confirm who's on the ball. :) Stay tuned for page 2 of "Aviation History" coming later to-day.
